Mermaids and mermen have a long history, one that spans centuries and cultures and lands. As long as there have been stories about these creatures, there has been a desire to catch one and put it on display.
We pay homage to these elusive beings in the National Merman Portrait Gallery and with the Merman Map of the World–a listing of the best-preserved specimens on display around the world. If you’ve never seen one before, you’re in luck. One of the finest examples is on display close by, at the Banff Trading Post.
