The Curbside Museum recently inherited the archive of the Larch Island Walkers Society (LIWS); a group that quietly mapped and recorded the odd and unique history of Larch Island in Canmore. This exhibit showcases a few objects and papers from the collection, including personal effects of founding member, Ada Listecki.
In the collection, we also uncovered a walking tour of Larch Island, first printed in 1923. The walking tour still holds up, almost a century later. We’ve digitized the tour, and have made it available to visitors and friends in Canmore, for summer, 2021.
You can view or download the tour on your phone, here.
